This spring break, I did lots of things. First off, when I got home I celebrated. After a little while, I finished my series “Shatter Me”, which made me a little sad since I have been reading it since around October. Then, I hung out with my friends and watched movies on rainy days. After that, I spent a lot of the break relaxing and watching movies. I went to my stunt class and there I stunted and tumbled. Then, I packed like crazy for the snow with my friends, but somehow I ended up forgetting my snow boots and pants! After a little while of panicking, my mom lended me some of her pants and boots, and everything was great! After I was all situated, I went with my friends to play in the snow and we went sledding. However, it didn’t go exactly as planned, with my friend having to go completely in the cold lake water to retrieve her sled! After that, we relaxed in the hot tub and watched movies. However, things didn’t go according to plan when all of a sudden my friends got scared. Out of fear, they asked me to stay in one small bed with the other two of them. The next day, we relaxed and watched mystery and funny movies. After a long day of that, we got dinner. Finally, the next day we went home and I did all my homework and prepared to be back home!

For the month of February, I read a short novella in the Shatter Me series called Fracture Me. This is Unravel me but from Adams perspective. Durning the battle of omega point, not only do we get to see the horror from Juliette’s perspective, but we get to see it from Adams as well. This book is filled with miscommunication and sadness as we see Adam experience the possible losses of his brother, Juliette, or omega point. And as Adam is picking up the pieces of his life, something completely unexpected comes along.

I loved this book. It really ties the 2nd and 3rd book (not including the novella) together nicely, and you get to understand much more about the plot and what Adam thinks and you get to see how it goes from the horror on the battlefield, to the possible loss of Juliette in ways we’ve never seen before, to the plot slowly evolving back to normal, but will it ever be normal again?

My favorite character was Kenji. He always has something funny to say up his sleeve and says it at the most inconvenient times. I also like how the day after he was injured, he was ready to get back up again and fight for omega point. Whenever the plot slows down, Kenji is always there to speed it back up again by either using his temper or unthought actions, or making another joke and brining the book back to life.

My favorite quote was “Juliette looks so mortified it kills me.” Because you can see how Juliette truly regrets and feels bad about who she is or something completely out of her control that has happened. This is said before Warner’s gift is discovered, meaning all the stress was on Juliette even though she was unable to fix it in any way. It also showed a new emotion which was never told from Juliette’s perspective.

I wake up feeling strange one day. I walk over to the mirror to find that I am invisible! Out of horror I yell,
“Mom! Mom!” And run downstairs.
“Yes honey?” She asks, and I realize I have reappeared.
“Ugh, never mind.” But then, all of a sudden I turn back invisible! I think of everything I could do. Firstly, I drive my moms even though I don’t have a license, and start rumors on the news of being a “ghost car”. Then, I go to target and take everything I want, because no one can stop me. Then, I reappear and give some of the stolen food to homeless people. After I feel I have done enough of that, I turn back invisible and break into Disneyland, get fast passes, cut every line, then reappear right before I get on so I don’t lose my spot. I take all the food and all the stuff I want from gift shops. Then I go to the spectrum, take a few things from stores, and walk around scaring people and making them think they are being haunted. Afterwards, I crash a party and take all the food and do whatever activity they’re doing. Then, I go to a few peoples houses and get blackmail or certain information I would want to know. Then finally, I go back home and go to sleep, well rested.
